The South Australian Financial Counsellors Association

SAFCA is the peak body for Financial Counsellors in South Australia and the Northern Territory. We provide registration services, professional development opportunities and professional supervision facilitation for our members in SA and NT.

SAFCA provides systems advocacy on behalf of financially vulnerable people in SA and NT by consulting with government, industry and consumer groups.

Financial Counsellors assist South Australians and Northern Territorians in financial difficulty by providing information, support, and advocacy for their clients. Financial Counsellors work within the Community sector. Their services are free, independent and confidential.

Our members also assist industry by ensuring their customers have a better understanding of their financial position and obligations. SAFCA is committed to working with industry for better outcomes for the people of SA and NT.

The State and Territory financial counselling associations, in conjunction with FCA, have engaged Access EAP to provide a Member Assistance Program (similar to an employee assistance program) for all financial counsellors, financial counselling agency managers and their families. While some agencies already offer these services to their staff, others do not.
