Plan for Financial Counselling in SA

Dear Financial Counsellors and Organisations,

I believe that the South Australian Financial Counsellors Association (SAFCA) has advised you that SACOSS has been engaged by SAFCA to do research and make recommendations for planning and coordinating financial counselling in this state.

A central part of this research is a survey of financial counselling agencies around key issues. The survey is now open and is available here

The survey has been designed to complement (and hopefully not duplicate) data you already report to funding bodies, and your answers will be important in building a picture of the sector and potential areas for change and growth.

The timeline for the project is very short, so the survey will close at 9am on Monday 3 August.

Apologies for the short turn-around, but it is your home ground and we hope the survey won't take too long.  (SurveyMonkey says 16 minutes but I suspect a little longer depending on your responses. And here is a hint it gets easier after we ask about estimating client demographics!)

If you have been engaged in interviews or workshops as part of this research, thank you, but please also do the survey as it has a different focus.

If you have any questions, please let me know by return email or phone 8305 4229.

Thank you in anticipation of your thinking and responses,

Dr. Greg Ogle
