Written on the 2 April 2020 by SAFCA
Dear SAFCA members, we hope this Newsletter finds you safe and well. You are all doing an amazing job in these challenging and ever changing times.
SAFCA's team is now working predominantly from our home offices. We haven't changed our hours, and you can contact us during normal business hours.
Wendy: 0427 823 656, email@example.com Monday to Friday
Maria: 0410 100 611, firstname.lastname@example.org Monday to Thursday
Sue: email@example.com. If you need to speak to Sue, please send an email and she will get back to you. Tuesday and Wednesday, and alternate Mondays.
A lot has changed in a week, and we have summarised what we think is the most important information for our members.
The FCA Toolkit Facebook group has the most up to date information about funding increases, and some important news regarding Banks, Centrelink, Jobkeeper and Job Seeker payments, and Taxation (including early withdrawal of Superannuation and help for businesses).

SAFCA is part of an Australia-wide survey of Financial Counsellors to work out of how we can quickly increase capacity to meet increased demand. For example, are there some Financial Counsellors who might be able to work more hours if there was more funding available. We're also keen to find out if there are Financial Counsellors who have left the sector who might return.
Please fill in this survey, and send a copy to anyone you know who might be interested. Survey
The National Debt Helpline has a Covid-19 page with useful information for customers, and it may also be relevant for Financial Counsellors. Click here to read more.
The Salvos in Adelaide have two new positions available. Details are listed on the SAFCA Careers page. Careers
If you come across any difficult road blocks, or identify something that needs some action, please let us know.
Look after yourself, and know that the work you are doing is very valued, and much appreciated.
Stay safe. We will get through this.
