SAFCA has announced the appointment of Kate Fox to the role of Executive Officer. She joins the organisation from the Wyatt Trust, a leading philanthropic foundation that provides opportunities to South Australians experiencing hardship.

Kate is the Director of the Universal Charitable Fund, an Adelaide-based organisation that provides practical support and encouragement to local charities who help people in need in Australia and overseas.

She holds qualifications in business administration, training and development and social work, is a graduate of the Australian Industry of Company Directors and sits on the board of Social Impact Investment Network SA.

She will commence in the role at SAFCA on 7 June 2021.

Kate will take over the role from Wendy Shirley who will retire on Monday 5 July after over serving as SAFCA's Executive Officer for over seven years. Wendy will spend a busy four weeks inducting Kate into her new position, during which time she will meet with agency managers, financial counsellors and key stakeholders in South Australia and the Northern Territory.

The SAFCA Board congratulates Kate on her appointment and wishes Wendy all the very best in her retirement.
