Mental Health Academy Suicide Conference

Written on the 16 April 2020 by SAFCA

For the second consecutive year, Mental Health Academy (an education company part of the AIPC Group) & Lifeline Australia have partnered to deliver the world's largest Suicide Prevention online conference, the 2020 Suicide Prevention Summit.

The purpose of the Summit is to equip mental health professionals in Australia with the most up-to-date, advanced knowledge and treatment options for suicide prevention.

The event is entirely free to attend. And participants can access all sessions online (both in real-time and on-demand), from the comfort and safety of their own home.

Given the current COVID-19 crisis (including cancellation of many events and conferences), the Summit is a great opportunity for you and your team to access quality professional development online, and at no cost.

We encourage you to join the event and invite your team/mental health industry contacts to do the same, via: https://www.mentalhealthacademy.com.au/suicideprevention

Here's a line-up of speakers who will present at the Summit:

  • Dr. Angela Nicholas (University of Melbourne)
  • Ingrid Ozols AM (University of Melbourne)
  • Bronwen Edwards (Roses in the Ocean)
  • Joe Calleja (Alternatives to Suicide Steering Committee, WA)
  • Penelope Strauss (Telethon Kids Institute)
  • Dr. Zac Seidler (Orygen, Movember)
  • Carmen Betterridge (AISRAP/Griffith University)
