TCP CONNECT WEBINARS earn PD points

The TCP Connect Webinars create the opportunity for all members of the TCP community to come together to learn, share and connect with one another as we all strive towards ensuring that everyone in Australia has fair access to the modern essential services they need to thrive in Australia.

There are 16 Webinars which can be viewed, each around 45 minutes (you can earn 1 PD point per webinar if it relates to your work).

Topics include:

  • Systemic inequalities in a multicultural society
  • How systemic inequalities exacerbate people's experience during COVID-19.
  • The impacts of COVID-19 on women and young people, particularly the increased caring responsibilities, and what role organisations can play in supporting them.
  • The impacts of disasters on mental health and what we can learn from COVID-19, and the 2019 North Queensland Monsoon, to help organisations better understand people's experiences and respond to support their staff, customers and clients.
  • Vulnerability as the new norm and examine what organisations will need to be thinking about now and into the future as we shift into a new paradigm post COVID-19.

Episode 13 - Are we prepared for the mental health implications that will arise from COVID-19 in the next one, six or even 12 months?

Patrice O'Brien, Chief Community Officer at Beyond Blue and Keith Diamond, Associate Director, Experience design at Symplicit speak about the impacts of disasters on mental health and what we can learn from COVID-19, and the 2019 North Queensland Monsoon, to help organisations better understand people's experiences and respond to support their staff, customers and clients.
